Electronic Stability control:
Basically it is a system that will try and prevent your vehicle from skidding, when the vehicle notices that you are turning the steering wheel and the vehicle does not move in that direction. What the system will do is control the brakes on the back of the truck so the truck will turn in the direction you want it to go.
Antilock braking system (ABS):
ABS should be on every modern vehicle. The goal of the system is to prevent you from losing control of the vehicle when applying hard on the breaks. The way the system works is that when you push hard one brakes and going at a high speed for example on a highway. What used to happen is that the pressure on the break would prevent you from steering or moving the vehicle to avoid an accident. With the ABS when you push hard on the break it will prevent the brakes from locking up on the wheels and will thus still give you the ability to steer your truck to avoid an accident or some form of danger.
